Letter: Dare we hope?

Hope is a noun in the English language. It is a feeling of expectation and a desire for something to happen. Americans all are hoping for one thing: normalcy. We have been a tired nation full of anxiety and fear. We long for light over darkness.

Enter the good vibes ticket of Harris and Walz. They have burst into our gloom and doom with a message of hope. Their message of “we are going to give you something” rather than the GOP message of “take away” is resonating throughout our tired souls. The “joy and hope” message from Harris/Walz is this:

  • We are going to restore Reproductive Freedom
  • We are going to restore Voting Rights for all
  • We are going to restore Freedom from Fear to attend school
  • We are going to restore the Rule of Law for all
  • We are going to restore our Alliances with foreign nations
  • We are going to restore Climate-Saving Measures
  • We are going to restore a Fair Immigration policy.

This message of restore instead of remove is why organizations such as VoteVets, Latter-Day Saints, Catholics Vote Common Good and Republicans for Harris are endorsing the Democratic ticket in the hope that WE, the American People, can be restored.

We can change our fear to hope and embrace neighbors without fear.  We can restore our joy in our differences while working together for solutions.

Let’s restore ourselves. Vote this November for our restoration in government and our country.  Vote Blue!
